Delegation led by Circle Secretary met the Chief PMG and discussed our cadre related issues like IP Grade pay, Cadre review, Revision of rate of honorarium for Examination Invigilation/ Squad duty etc and explained the circumstances forced the cadre to take the decision of "Stay away from Exam Invegilation duty". The issues of upgradation GP of IPs and cadre review were mentioned to Chief PMG, though they are the issues to be decided at Directorate level. It was mentioned to her that IPs are now virtually reduced the status of Postmen after implementation of MACPS. The IPs are now continuing in a state of demotivation due to the discriminatory treatment by the Department towards them on GP issue. Chief PMG assured the delegation that she would bring these issues to the notice of Directorate soon and asked the delegation to give a detailed note on these issues. With regards to revision of rate of Honorarium for Examination invegilation duty, Chief PMG has understood the need to revise the present rate of Rs 20/- and 40/- fixed in the year 1972 and assured the delegation to discuss the issue with Directorate personally during her visit to New Delhi on 04-11-2010. We pinned hopes on our CPMG madam and let us hope for the best.

Dear CS
You have proved what is the importance of union /association. Similar action from TN Circle and PUNJAB Circle are also aprreciatable. When the backbone (Central leadership ) of the association is week , the arms ( Circle leaderships) have been compelled to take this long awaited stand . Is this not the slap not the face of ineffective central leadership. The central leadership should feel that if u ignore the advice of arms then definitely (central leadership) will have to repent. I request the central leadership to do something concrete otherise you will be of nowhere
