The steering committee formed to monitor the issue of "Stay away from Examination invigilation duty" is monitoring the situation and developments aftermath the call given by our association. The response from the members is quite amazing and it is the first time in the history of the association that all the members of AP circle association have submitted individual letters to the administration urging to exclude them from examination duties on sundays/holidays and made it clear in writing to the administration that the targets given under PLI/RPLI are quite unrealistic and the pressure putting on this cadre in achieving the targets is intolerable. The administration right from the Divisional heads level has noticed this new trend in our cadre and it became a hot topic all over the circle. Here we exhibited our unity and our readiness to fight against the injustice is being meted out to this cadre which will be an eyeopener to the administration while dealing with our issues forthwith.
The General Secretary has asked the C.S to reconsider our stand on this issue because it is an issue to be solved at Directorate level and he is pursuing the issue which is under the active consideration of the Directorate and expecting revision soon. He further promised to take up agitation countrywide after giving sufficient time to Directorate. The Chief PMG has also requested the association to cooperate to the smooth conduct of the examination on 14-11-2010 stating that the matter of revision of honorarium was referred to Directorate.
The steering committee felt that the issue raised by our circle association even though it was an issue to be solved at Directorate level has received enough attention from all the quarters. It is time now for us to take stock of the situation and adopt flexibility keeping in view the assurances given by the General Secretary and the long term interests of the members as well as of the association. The circle IP/ASP associations of Punjab, Tamilnadu and Kerala have also taken up this issue with their circle administration and finally decided to attend the invigilation duties, but with some protest like refusing honorarium of existing rates, remitting the honorarium amount to CM/PM welfare fund etc.
Keeping all the above in view, the steering committee has taken the following decisions.
1) If Exam Invegilation/ Squad duties are assigned, IP/ASPs may attend the duties, but wearing black Badges.
2. We will refuse honorarium at existing rates and all the members will give individual letters to the Exam conducting authority to this effect on the day of Examination before taking up the Invigilation/Squad duty.
3. Circle Secretary will give a letter to the CPMG on our above decisions.
proforma of letter to be given on the day of Examination before taking up the Invigilation/Squad duty will be kept in the blog in due course. Black badges will be supplied to the members through the R.Rs/ CWC members. While thanking the members for the support given so far, it is once again requested to implement the above decisions.

It is suprising to see that no comments are posted so far. I am very sorry to say that the outcome is disappointing. truely speaking we were expecting a result oriented fight. But, it's true that the exercise has shown the strength and unity of the association. this gives courage to go ahead with any such agitative ideas by the cadre in future. I wish all the best to the leadership to go ahead and plan for nationwide protests in any justified issues.
