The Dept of Expenditure, Ministry Of Finance vide its OM no 7(1) E.Cord/2012 dated 31.05.2012 has prescribed some austerity measures for immediate implementation to contain the expenditure. The following are some of the important measures.
1.Mandotary 10% cut in non plan Expenditure
2.Observing of utmost economy in organizing Conferences/Seminars/Workshops.Only those which are absolutely essential should be held.
3 Total ban on Purchase of vehicles until further orders, including against condemned vehicles.
4.Total ban on creation of plan & non plan posts.
