The facility of taking life Insurance and accident Insurance coverage under the schemes "Pradhanamantri Jeevan jyothi Bheema Yojana(PMJJBY) and "Pradhana Mantri Suraksha Bheema Yojana(PMSBY) has been extended to Savings Bank account holders of all CBS enrolled Post offices witheffect from 07.09.2015.
Under PMJJBY scheme, life Insurance coverage of Rs 2 lakhs will be given at an annual pemium of Rs331/-. Under PMSBY, accident insurance of Rs 2 lakhs will be given at an annual premium of Rs 12/- only.
