Postal Directorate, vide its notification dated 05.09.2016, has announced the schedule for conducting the LDCE for promotion to the cadre of Inspector Posts(66.6%) DP quota for the vacancy year 2015-16. The Examination will be held cadre for the vacancies for the period 01.01.2015 to 31.03.2016 i.e. for the year 2015-16 in-house on the old pattern using OMR method for evaluation.
The Schedule of the examination is given below.

Age limit for appealing in the LDCE is 'not exceeding 40 years'. Relaxation by 5 years is given for Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribe officials. Minimum service required is 5 years of regular service. The crucial date for this examination has been fixed as 1 st July,2015 for age and service eligibility condition.
No. of chances:
(i) As per the RRs, 2013, a candidate shall be allowed, a maximum of 4 chances.Candidate belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes may subject to his eligibility be allowed a maximum of 6 chances to appear in the said Examination.
Venues for conducting the Examination:
The Examination will be conducted at all Circle Headquarters only. For newly created Telangana Circle, the Centre will be 'Hyderabad' and for Andhra Pradesh Circle, it will be 'Vijayawada'.

Circle ofice Hyderabad has announced the schedule for Postma/Mail Guard Examination for the year 2015 vide CO letter dated 15.09.2015. The last date for submission of applications by the eligible GDS and MTS staff to appear for the examination is 15.10.2015. The schedule date of limited departmental competitive examination is 01.11.2015. The examination centres are Hyderabad, kurnool,vijayawada and Visakhapatnam.
Total Postman vacancies are 332 and Mail Guard vacancies are 13.

Sir/Madam,
I am directed to invite a kind
reference to the letter of even number dated 8-10-2012 wherein a detailed
schedule was prescribed for holding of LDCE for Postmen/Mail guard and
MTS
2. Subsequently, the nodal
branch staff section vide letter no. no. 45-2/2011-SPB.1 dated 18-10-2012
issued detailed instructions to the circles for filling the vacancies by
holding separate examinations for each year vacancies and given specific
schedule and to complete the process by 30th June 2013.
3. In view of this revised position, the schedule given by DE section has
no more operative and the instructions dated 8-10-2012 is withdrawn with
immediate effect. The circles are requested to follow the guidelines issued by
SPB.1 section letter no. 45-2/2011-SPB.1 dated 18-10-2012 scrupulously.
4. This issues with the approval of Competent Authority.

Notification for conducting Limited Departmental Competitive Examination for Postmen/Mail Guard and Multi Tasking Staff has to be issued on 15.10.2012 as per the Examination schedule announced vide Directorate Letter no A-34012/01/2012-DE dated 08.10.2012.But the notification was not issued so far because Directorate has not the specify the authority (whether Divl Supdt or Regional PMG or CPMG) which is empowered to issue the notification as per the revised recruitment rules of Postman/MTS staff. Units sought clarification from the Directorate and the notification will be issued only on issue of clarification.

As communicated vide Department of Posts(PA Wing) letter No.3-24/10-PCE/EXAM(DE)/2111 to 2210 dated 11th September, 2012 the above examination will be held on 29th and 30th of December, 2012. All the categories of the officials who had qualified in the JAO Part-I(Postal) Examination are eligible to appear for the said examination as a one time measure. The successful candidates are liable to be posted anywhere in India.
The vacancy against 90% quota as on 01-09-2012 is as under:-

The candidate should not exceeding 53 years of age as on 1st January, 2011.
Qualifying Marks :
For OC Candidates:-40% in each subject and 45% in the aggregate provided that a minimum of 40% is also secured in the practical papers.
For SC/ST Candidates:-33% in each subject and 38% in the aggregate provided that a minimum of 33% is also secured in the practical papers.
It was communicated vide Directorate letter No. A-34012/07/2012-DE dated 06.09.2012 that the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination for promotion to the cadre of Inspector Posts (66.66%) Departmental quota for the year 2012 which was scheduled to be held on 15th and 16th September, 2012 has now been postponed. The exact date of conducting the IP Examination 2012 and schedule will be communicated in due course.
Sale of forms for Postal Assistant , sorting Assistant, Postal assistant for SBCO and MMS is going on from 11th of August from identified Post Offices. Seeing the excessive crowd and demand of the form, India post has now decided to make these forms available online and can be downloaded from the India Post website www.indiapost.gov.in. After on line registration in India post Web site, the application Kit will be sent to the given Email ID with in 24 hours.
Online registration facility to get Application Kits will be available in www.indiapost.gov.in from 03.09.2012 to 25.09.2012.
1. The applicants applying on the application form downloaded on line has to pay:
a) Rs. 50/- (Rs. Fifty) towards Application cost and Rs. 200/- (Rs. Two Hundred) towards examination fee. The fee for Application cost at Rs. 50 shall be paid by all the candidates. For Examination fee, Scheduled caste, Scheduled Tribes, Women, Physically Handicapped candidates are exempted.
b) Accordingly, the Unclassified Receipt/ ACG-67 receipt paid in any Post Office, for Rs.50 or Rs.250 as the same case may be, enclosed in original to the downloaded application form. The seven digit unique Registration number printed on downloaded Application form has to be noted on the backside of the fee receipt.
It was It was communicated vide Directorate letter no A-34012/6/2012-DE dated 22.8.2012 that the Limited Departmental Competitive Examination for promotion of Lower Grade Officials (LGO) to the cadre of Postal Asst. / Sorting Asst. for the year 2012 to be held on 9.09.2012 is rescheduled and now it will be held on 16.09.2012(Sunday). The timings are as follows.
